Palmarosa oil calms the mind, yet has an uplifting effect, while clearing muddled thinking. It is used to counter physical and nervous exhaustion, stress-related problems and nervousness" Palmarosa has also been used in traditional Indian medicine to treat fevers, infectious diseases, rheumatism and nerve pain. Palmarosa has excellent skincare properties and is also beneficial for nervous tension and stress-related complaints. Properties: antiseptic, bactericidal, cicatrizant, digestive, febrifuge, hydrating, stimulant (digestive, circulatory), and tonic. Aromatic application(Mind, Spirit and Body): Palmarosa oil relieves fatigue, nervousness, exhaustion and stress, while having an uplifting effect on the mind and clearing muddled thoughts. Palmarosa helps calm the mind and has an uplifting effect. It is beneficial for stress, anxiety and nervous exhaustion and can also help if you are feeling, confused, lonely, vulnerable and insecure. Topical application(Skin): Palmarosa oil moisturizes the skin, while balancing the hydration levels and stimulating cell regeneration. It balances production of sebum, to keep the skin supple and elastic and is valuable for use with acne, dermatitis, preventing scarring, rejuvenating and regenerating. It can also help fight infection in wounds and prevent scarring. Baths: Add 2 - 3 drops (depending on essential oil) into a teaspoon of honey, whole milk, vegetable oil or other dispersing/diluting agent then add to bath water once you are in the bath. This method results in absorption through the skin, as well as inhalation of the volatilized essential oil. Keep eyes closed! Precautions: Since essential oils are highly concentrated, most essential oils can not be applied directly to the skin without being diluted. Do not apply on wounds, cuts or rashes. If found risky, stop using it. Do not use more than 2-3 drops in each use. Do not use with children under age. Also best to avoid during pregnancy. May be an irritant to people with sensitive skin.
