Whether it’s a Monday morning or you’re halfway through the week we can all relate to being sleepy and groggy. Simply put, when we feel this way there may be an underlying cause leading to the lack or inability to get a good night’s sleep. The Sleep Health Foundation reveals that at any point, at least 10% of the world’s populace suffers from some form of insomnia. There are allopathic treatments but if you’re just trying to catch some zzz’s try these things that help you sleep soundly.
A Night Time Ritual

Natural Cures for Insomnia
Ayurveda suggests that insomnia occurs when Vata dosha has been degenerated or greatly imbalanced. As mentioned earlier, there may be underlying causes that can be the root to insomnia-decreasing Kapha dosha (responsible for healthy sleep) and balancing Vata. A lot of these causes come down to mental anxiety or other ailments.

Apple Cider Vinegar: This amazing health tonic is packed with a whole heap of healing properties including balancing our body’s pH levels. Take 2 tablespoons of this, add it to a cup of lukewarm water (30-32°C) and add some honey to sweeten it. Consume about a half hour before bed and watch the drowsy magic occur.
