Pink Latte Recipe

If you’re wondering how to make a beetroot latte, you’ll be surprised that it’s quite easy to make and it’s really simile to turn it into one of the healthiest and yummiest vegan recipes for brekkie ever.

Ingredients:

  • 300-400ml unsweetened almond milk (or any other dairy-free milk of your choice)
  • 2 teaspoons honey or coconut sugar (vegan option)
  • 1 medium beet, peeled or 1 tsp beetroot powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon milled chia tsp seeds (optional, for a creamier drink + omega 3’s)

Procedure:

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 _‹_C, peel the root and wrap in foil.
  2. Roast for about half an hour or until they pass the fork test.
  3. Add all of the other ingredients (except the sweetener) and blend till you get the right consistency.
  4. Pour mixture into a saucepan and heat at a low temperature. Do not bring to the boil, this will destroy some of the nutrients and may burn the milk.
  5. Now, add the sweetener and stir till dissolved.
  6. You may even choose to prettify your latte with dusting powders like turmeric, matcha powder and cocoa powder.
