Squats are body-shaping workouts that work on your leg muscles including your quadriceps, hamstrings and calves but also create an anabolic environment for muscle building all over.

You get both mobility and balance with squats which makes them one of the more functional exercises for stabilizing your core. Jump high and run faster by tapping on the specific muscle groups.

Since they require zero equipment, you can come up with your own version by adding them to your favorite workout.

Planks

Planks are getting increasingly popular for strengthening your core because, like all the other exercises we have shown you, these work on a large range of muscles for a total ten workout.

Planking can go a long way into developing your deep inner core muscles for that tight, toned look. This means lesser fat around the belly.

If you suffer from back pain, then planks are the perfect thing. They strengthen the muscles in your upper back and core which fixes lower back pain as well.
