Always Remove Your Eye Make-Up

The skin around your eyes is very thin and fragile. Makeup can clog the skin around your eyes and mascara can tend to be very heavy on your eyelashes. This can cause your eyelashes to become loose and fall off easily upon rubbing your eyes. It’s advisable that you remove your eye makeup, or any makeup for that matter, every night before you hit the covers.

Castor Oil for Eyelashes

Castor oil is known to be very beneficial for eyelash growth and care. It can prevent your eyelashes from breakage and also help with eyelash growth. Apart from this, it can thicken your eyebrows' hair and act as a great skin moisturizer. Take cold-pressed castor oil in a small bottle. Dip an eyeliner brush in the bottle. Apply on your lashes like mascara.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is another great home remedy to help you get those long, lustrous lashes. Use a mascara brush, dip it in aloe vera gel and leave it on overnight. Rinse with water the following morning. Aloe vera contains many vitamins and nutrients which promote the growth of your eyelashes. It also keeps them moisturized.

Lemon Peels

Lemon peel can ask add volume to your eyelashes. It contains vitamin C, vitamin B and folic acid which improve the growth of your lashes. You can infuse it with essential oils to enhance its cleansing properties.

DIY Eyelash Growth Serum Recipe

Take 1 tbsp of dried lemon peels and place in a container.

Add cold pressed castor oil or olive oil to the lemon peels. Add just enough to ensure the peels are soaked.

Keep this mix in the container for 2 weeks.

After 2 weeks, start applying the lemon-infused oil on your lashes with a mascara stick.

Leave it on overnight and rinse in the morning.

Continue doing this regularly.
