Food is of course your best source of calcium, especially leafy greens, wheatgrass and sesame seeds. Boo! Bone Juice

Flowing with flavonoids like phloridzin and luteolin, this juicing recipe is a delish way to anchor calcium to your bones.

Ingredients

Apples – 2 medium

Avocado – 1 avocado

Cucumber – 1 cucumber

Ginger Root – 1 thumb or 1 teaspoon ginger powder

Lemon – 1/2 fruit

Orange – 1 large

Parsley – 1 handful

Kale – 2 handfuls

Turmeric – 1 thick slice or 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

Directions

1) Juice all the ingredients except for the avocado.

2) De-seed the avocado and remove the meat.

3) Blend the juice and avocado well till you achieve a smooth consistency.

4) Serve chilled.

The Bone Chia-ller

This is one of the recipes for bone protection that is also soothing for a sore tummy and relieves bloating.

Ingredients

Apples – 2 medium

Fennel Bulb (with fronds) – 1 bulb

Ginger Root – 1/2 thumb

Lemon – 1/2 fruit

Orange (peeled) – 1 fruit

Peppermint – 10 leaves

Chia seeds – 1 teaspoon

Directions

1) Process all ingredients in a juicer, shake or stir.

2) Crush the chia seeds using a mortar and pestle. Top with crushed chia and serve.

Achy-Breaky Joint-n-Bone Juice

This juice blend for bones has pain relief benefits for those suffering from arthritis. If you don’t happen to have extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) on hand, don’t substitute with anything else as that could actually undo the good this juice would do. Also, avoid dairy to get the maximum benefits of this juice.

Ingredients

Apple – 1 medium

Asparagus – 4 spears, medium

Broccoli – 1 stalk

Carrots – 3 large

Celery – 3 stalks, large

Olive Oil – 1 tablespoon

Parsley – 1 handful

Turmeric – 1 thick slice or 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

Directions

1) Place the olive oil in the glass which you are going to drink out of.

2) Blend the rest of the ingredients and pour the juice into your glass.

3) Stir and serve immediately.
